I find interesting how emotional your dubstep is, although this one was pretty similar to the one you uploaded for the AIM contest (btw it was my fav!)
I've known very few people here who has made their dubstep something else aside from violent blender sounds lol; everything to me sounds very clear and fitting in the stereo field, specially the pads. The first drop wasn't my favourite, I don't like much riddim in general but the rest has been a hype. Good luck with the NGUAC!

Thank you for the kind words and feedback! My friend had also noticed it shared some similarities with one of my previous works, I'll take note and try to do something different for future projects.lol

Fricking insane. It has everything I look for in an EDM track: hooking melody, loud but clean mix, the hardest drop growls and a time signature change. I have no complains. Not to disrespect the other contestants but this one might get the highest score amongst the EDM category.

NDXLOfficial responds:

Thank you so so much man <3 <3 <3

Very funky and nice ambient! The percussion is really well worked and the transitions makes it insteresting to listen. I don't know how I will come out in the NGADM since we're in the same group D:

Semzaiy responds:

Thanks! Idk how I will come out in the NGADM because yours is amazing, I just listened to it and the melodies are so good you will probably win this from me D:

I'm not a very classy guy, but this should be in an adventure videogame.
The structure is very nice, as it goes on adding more things, goes from gloomy to hopeful, specially when strings starts blending in, one of my favourite parts. Also the placing of the instruments is really good, I don't know much about stereo field and those things tho.
After the climax there's some saturated voice-like sound at 1:30, can't tell if it was made on purpose but it's not very pleasant hearing that when it's supposed to be the calm part. Same thing with the very last violin note, a bit loud...
If you recorded some of the instruments live with mic, hence the possible saturation, then props to you man. I don't even have talent to play some piano scores live and record it into my DAW.

SomeGuyMusic responds:

Thank you! The 1:30 distortion was supposed to be on purpose but I guess I should've eased it down just a bit. Also these are all stock instruments of FL Mobile! I tried my best to humanize them. Thank you for the review!

Very emotional. It was just hearing the first ten seconds I got hooked to this for a bunch of days, but I really like the final chorus, the supersaw and the pads are the definition of euphoric. Keep the amazing work!

Euphoric-Danique responds:

Thanks! Glad you are enjoying it, really appreciate it!

Indeed it's interesting. I don't know much about SuperHexagon, but your remix is awesome and has a nice flow, the bass is what makes it very catchy
By the way, Happy new year! Hope to hear more of this type! :D

EspyoNG responds:

Hey man! Thanks for reviewing. Didn't expect you to review anything of mine really, so I'm glad! The bass was the most prominent element of the original song, so I made sure to make it as clean and catchy as I possibly could. Happy to know it worked out!

Happy New Year to you too! Can't wait to see more of your projects soon!

Masterpiece, even if it was a rush to do it. The ambient, effects and build-ups would fit perfectly in a Sci-fi movie or something cyberpunk-y IMO, and you even nailed that Xtrullor phasing bass! Mix is a bit saturated at the second drop but very clean even thought the amount of saturation, Idk how to explain lol. Cinematic and dubstep music is a combo I always think it has so much talent to do such thing.

FeroCatfish responds:

Thank you for your constructive feedback, and you mentioned the second drop, lemme tell you something that drop doesn't originally belong to this song. It was originally for another discontinued track, and I think it's kinda fitting in a contrast way to add that in this track.

That's a nice groove! There's some stuff you could fix, such as the sudden cutoff of the bassline at 0:44 or the bass drop at 2:37, that scared me lol. Everything else sounds phenomenal, the verse is energetic and powerful and the builds really gives you the feeling that something good is about to come! Definitely waiting for more! :D

Eeyanzai responds:

Hey!

Thanks for the honest feedback! I see that you reacted to some parts that are out of context, well I was spending so much time fixing all old tracks with original projects, I hadn't enough time at all. The original idea of the project was "Ma.Bra - El Efecto De La Fiesta" Remix from 2019 to 2022, which I abandoned the remix idea. I started to change the new idea of the project in October. I assigned this track as my last song to be made.

Note that all old original tracks will be replaced on Newgrounds and uploaded to Spotify later. It doesn't mean that I make new stuff of this alias. They were all done. If you want to see my last album, I would recommend visiting my Bandcamp site at: https://eeyanzai.bandcamp.com/releases

Happy New Year!!

I like that this song has an arrangement: The drums are compressing the instruments; the basses are growls; the music is playing and the mix is morbed. My favourite part was when the drop goes morbing. This is absolutely one of the songs of all times.

Irishtoner responds:

Thanks my Dude!
I really appreciate it :))))

I like it! A bit minimalist compared to what I had in mind but still well adapted as a house theme. The pluck here still has a calm vibe and the piano part was perfect, the chord progression was much better than mine.
I don't sidechain pluck synths too much but when I need to, I make a deep but very quick sidechain curve so it doesn't kill all the sound. I don't know if this is a good tip, I'm doubting my skills xd

EspyoNG responds:

So happy you enjoyed the minimalistic approach to this remix! I have been working a lot on simplifying my production and just making everything easier rather than more complex.

As for the sidechain tip, I do usually do a short sidechain for plucked synths too, but that's because my sidechaining in general is pretty light xD

Anyway, thx for taking the time to listen and review the remix. It's really appreciated!

I'm still looking for that 'something' within my music, in an era where everyone can do it by just pressing a key.
